LRJ / WoW Retail
What does this legacy boss actually do?
Retail's Adventure Guide shows an empty Abilities tab for older raids. LRJ fills it in for 19 legacy instances and 108 bosses, with boss lore, stage headers, collapsible ability rows, spell icons and role indicators.
LRJ only fills Abilities tabs that WoW leaves empty, and shows spell tooltips where a real spell ID exists. It needs no configuration.
What it looks like
The actual interface, not a mock-up.
What it does
Everything LRJ answers for you.
Legacy Raid Journal is free on CurseForge and supports WoW Retail.
- Covers 19 instances and 108 bosses across Classic, The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King.
- Fills the empty Abilities tab with stage headers, collapsible ability rows, spell icons and role indicators.
- Reads difficulty and faction, so Heroic modes and faction-specific encounters show the right fight.
- Adds an overview tab with strategy summaries organised by role.
Why I built it
The problem that had no tool.
I raid Classic through Wrath with Legacy Thirty, and we were explaining mechanics from memory. Things break or stop working as intended from one expansion to the next, so we kept leaving the game to find a list of abilities and check them against what we were seeing. Now it is in the Adventure Guide.
